Paradise Marsh Exhibition + Excursion to Dragoman Marsh

Paradise Marsh exhibition by visual artist Maria Nalbantova is inspired by the Dragoman Marsh, a Ramsar site located 40 km away from Sofia. Maria Nalbantova is taking part in the WaterLANDS long-term artist-in-residence at the Marsh. The Bulgarian partners of the Horizon 2020 project are WWF Bulgaria and BALKANI Wildlife Society. WaterLANDS aims at the restoration of six degraded by human activities wetlands in Europe. Dragoman Marsh is one of the action sites. Participants will take a tour at the exhibition together with the artist (Maria Nalbantova) and the curator (Martina Yordanova). Then, they will visit the Dragoman Marsh. A discussion about the role of art and wetland restoration will take part at the end of the day.
