Exploring the Confluence: the 2025 Wetland Science Conference
Tuesday, February 25, 2025
This conference, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, is bringing more than 400 scientists, managers, students, practitioners, decision-makers, and other wetland and water enthusiasts to learn the latest in wetland science and the application of science to policies, protection, restoration, and management of wetlands in Wisconsin and the Upper Midwest. Gathering under the theme "Exploring the Confluence: Pearls of wisdom for wetlands, waters, and communities," attendees will learn about many initiatives working to protect, restore, and manage wetlands to improve the health of our rivers, wetlands, and communities. The conference theme reflects a special collaboration between Wisconsin Wetlands Association and Wisconsin Trout Unlimited. By bringing these communities together at the conference, we seek to ensure that practitioners in both have the information and support they need to collaborate on multi-objective hydrologic restoration projects. As we celebrate three decades of collaboration at this annual conference, we will renew our commitment to safeguarding and improving our wetland and water resources. Together, we can explore innovative solutions, forge new partnerships, and inspire one another to protect and restore our wetlands to benefit today’s communities and generations to come.
