Mangrove forest rehabilitation project in Zamboanga City, Philippines

Community and multi-stakeholders mangrove propagules planting / growing at the open / denuded areas of mangrove forest traversing barangay Mampang in Zamboanga City, Philippines. It is undertaken by the City Government of Zamboanga City, spearhead by the LGU-Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources (OCENR) coordinated with the national government agencies, academe, military, NGOs/POs with the immediate communities providing support services. The planting site formed part of the City's central mangrove forest wherein the USAID-Protect Wildlife Project provides technical support to formulate the site management and development plan currently underway.
