Online Session - Wetlands Action for People and Nature

On the occasion of World Wetlands Day 2022, WWF India, MP&CG State Office organized a talk on “Wetlands Action for People and Nature”. The session was conducted in collaboration with NSS and BSG, Bhopal, and garnered 130+ participants including teachers, students, and residents across Madhya Pradesh. Dr. Amit Dubey, Associate Director - Wetlands Division, WWF India explained WWF India’s efforts for the conservation of wetlands across different geographies. The session sparked interest in the participants related to wetland conservation and touched upon the challenges that wetlands, especially urban wetlands are facing in present times. The session also touched upon the benefits and ecosystem services that wetlands offer.
