Community Saltmarsh Clean-up, Foreshore Reserve, Claremont, Tasmania
Sunday, January 30, 2022
Join a community clean-up of Foreshore Reserve, Claremont. Help us collect rubbish from this popular location before it enters the saltmarsh and estuarine system and affects the unique flora and fauna residing there. This is part of Hobart's World Wetlands Weekend, hosted by Conservation Volunteers Australia, The Derwent Estuary Program and UTAS, celebrating our unique wetland habitats. In partnership with Chevron Australia, Conservation Volunteers Australia will be engaging individuals and communities to care deeply for blue carbon ecosystems and encouraging active stewardship to ensure they function as best they can into the future. On the 29th and 30th of January, we will be celebrating World Wetlands Day 2022 with a range of activities to celebrate and learn about the special wetlands on the Derwent Estuary. Attend 2 or more events in our World Wetlands Weekend and receive a voucher for some native plants to enhance your garden. Due to COVID, registrations are important. Please register on the Conservation Volunteers Australia Booking page. Look for "Revive Our Wetlands - Tasmania". For any queries, please contact acardencva.org.au / 0428 533 011
