El Estuario de Virrilá, un hermoso espacio natural ubicado en la provincia piurana de Sechura, al norte del Perú, es uno de los humedales más importantes de la costa del Perú. En su territorio se conserva una muestra de la ecorregión del desierto de Sechura.
El ecosistema del manglar de San Pedro de Vice se ubica en la provincia de Sechura, distrito de Vice y Sechura. Es un humedal de tipo intermareal arbolado. Es el último relicto de manglar del pacífico sur de América del Sur y está ubicado en la desembocadura del río Sechura.
