Monavale Wetland Clean Up & Silent Disco

Concerned residents of Monavale and friends of Zimbabwe’s wetlands are gathering on Saturday 31 Jan from 3-6:30 to pick up up litter on Monavale Vlei - recognized Ramsar site - and afterwards to appreciate the sunset over our beautiful wetland with a silent disco. This family friendly event aims to draw attention to the importance of protecting and preserving Harare’s wetlands from development, and to highlight recent incursions from developers on the Monavale Vlei. The Monavale Community has protected the wetland for decades amid mounting threats of development. Come and join us to conserve the wetland and dance your heart out with a view of the lush biodiversity that is our beautiful vlei.
