Celebration of World Wetlands Day 2024

The Yamuna Biodiversity Park, a joint collaborative programme between Delhi Development Authority CEMDE, University of Delhi, has been restored back to the lost glory of floodplain of river Yamuna including marshland, wetlands, grasslands and floodplain forest communities. The restored floodplain wetlands harbour 1000s of resident and migratory birds. Yamuna Biodiversity Park celebrates World Wetlands Day since its inception i.e. 2003, where students, teachers, communities, judiciary and environmental regulatory agencies assemble at the Amphitheatre to discuss the floodplain wetlands, its conservation and management for rejuvenating river and human wellbeing.
