Pakt dla Mokradeł 2025, Poznań
dimanche 2 février 2025
This meeting of scientists and practitioners aims to bring together experts, researchers, government officials, representatives of non-governmental organizations, activists, business representatives, and environmental protection enthusiasts to facilitate knowledge exchange and create a space for discussion on current issues and challenges in wetland conservation, restoration projects, management, and the policy frameworks necessary to protect these unique ecosystems. We will discuss peatlands, rivers, lakes, coastal areas, urban and forest wetlands, and those in agricultural landscapes. The sessions will cover topics such as climate change, global warming, palaeoclimatology, paleoecology, wetland archaeology, environmental monitoring, experimental research, wetland conservation in forests, legal acts including the Nature Restoration Law and the Green Deal, wetland restoration, paludiculture, and ecosystem services. Participants will have the opportunity to attend lectures, poster sessions, expert meetings, and discussion panels. This is a unique opportunity to establish connections and collaborate on innovative solutions for wetland conservation for future generations. The conference is held in connection with World Wetlands Day 2025, which this year is themed “Protecting Wetlands for Our Common Future.”
