Winners and highly commended finalists of the Wetland’s Photo Contest

“The beauty of wetlands” was the theme of the Wetlands Photo Contest, organized by the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands from 25 October to 25 November 2018.

The winners in the 3 categories; Youth, Amateur and Professional, will each receive a digital camera courtesy of Canon. In addition to the winning photos, the judges have also selected highly commended finalists in each category.

The judging panel included Christian Ziegler, photo journalist and Ambassador for Canon in Europe, Vitalis Hirshmann, Engineer and Freelance Photographer, Denis Palanque, wildlife and conservation photographer and Cokin Filter Ambassador, as well as Staff of the Secretariat of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands.

The Photo Contest received over 400 entries and was organized in partnership with Canon to use photography to raise global awareness about wetlands.
